There will be a PUBLIC DEMOSTRATION of Elections Systems & Software’s Unity 3.2.00 Rev 3 Voting Systems voting equipment at the above time and place. This equipment is being tested and considered for approval by the Government Accountability Board.

The G.A.B. is testing two pieces of ES&S equipment and software:

  • DS200 polling-place optical scanner for paper ballots
  • AutoMARK VAT auto-marking device, which is used to assist voters with disabilities cast paper ballots
  • Unity 3.2.0.0 Rev 3 software

The Wisconsin Election Administration Council (WI-EAC) will also meet at the above time and place to view a demonstration of the equipment.

Under Administrative Code Chapter 7, the Board may use a panel of local election officials and electors to assist in the review of the voting system.  The Board is asking the WI-EAC, created pursuant to Section 15.607, Wis. Stats., to serve this purpose.  WI-EAC’s input will be made part of staff’s recommendation that will be submitted to the Board for consideration at its August 28, 2012, meeting.

The demonstration and WI-EAC meeting are open to the public.

NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING:   Tuesday, August 28, 2012

Judge David G. Deininger, Chairperson of the Government Accountability Board, will certify canvass statements at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, in Room 412 East at the State Capitol in Madison, Wisconsin.

The canvass statements that will be signed are the official results of 2012 Partisan Primary held on August 14, 2012.

Nomination of Presidential Electors

Representatives of the Republican and Democratic Parties consisting of the elected state officers, holdover state senators and candidates for state senate and assembly nominated by the parties will convene at the state capitol building in Madison on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., as required by Wis. Stat. §8.18

The Republican Party of Wisconsin will meet in Room 415NW. 

The Democratic Party of Wisconsin will meet in Room 400NE.

The purpose of the convention is for each party to nominate one presidential elector from each of Wisconsin’s eight congressional districts and two electors from the state at large.

The lists of electors nominated for each party are attached below.
 

Post-Election Audit Selection

The Government Accountability Board will select the reporting units to be audited by local election officials and the selection of the election contests as part of the post-election audit at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012, at the Offices of the Government Accountability Board, located at 212 East Washington Avenue, 3rd Floor, Madison, Wisconsin.

Section 7.08 (6) Wisconsin Statutes requires the Government Accountability Board to audit each voting system that is used in this State following each General Election.

Canvass Certification: State Senate Dist. 33

Judge David G. Deininger, Chairperson of the Government Accountability Board, will certify a canvass statement at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Offices of the Government Accountability Board, located at 212 East Washington Avenue, 3rd Floor, Madison, Wisconsin.

The canvass statement that will be signed is the official result of Special Primary held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 for the office of State Senator, District 33.

 

Canvass Certification: 2012 Presidential and General Election

Judge David Deininger, Chairperson of the Government Accountability Board, will certify the 2012 Presidential and General Election canvass statements at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at the Offices of the Government Accountability Board, located at 212 East Washington Avenue, 3rd Floor, Madison, Wisconsin.

The canvass statements that will be signed are the official election results, including a recount for Iron County District Attorney, of the election held on November 6, 2012 for the offices of President of the United States, United States Senator, Representative in Congress, State Senator, Representative to the Assembly and District Attorney. 

 

Presidential Electors Meeting

The Presidential Electors for the State of Wisconsin will meet on Monday, December 17, 2012, in the Governor’s Conference Room, Second Floor, East, in the State Capitol, Madison, Wisconsin.  The meeting will begin at 12:00 noon.

At this meeting, the Presidential Electors will cast their votes for President and Vice President of the United States.

Canvass Certification: Amended 2012 Presidential and General Election

The G.A.B. is testing the Unity 3.4.0.0 Voting System, which includes the following pieces of ES&S equipment and software:

  • DS850 Central Count Tabulator
  • DS200 Precinct Count Tabulator
  • AutoMARK Voter Assist Terminal
  • Unity 3.4.0.0

The Wisconsin Election Administration Council (WI-EAC) will also meet at the above time and place to view a demonstration of the equipment.  Members of the WI-EAC may attend the public demonstration.

Under Administrative Code Chapter 7, the Board may use a panel of local election officials and electors to assist in the review of the voting system. The Board is asking the WI-EAC, created pursuant to Section 15.607, Wis. Stats., to serve this purpose. AMENDED: Canvass Certification: 2013 Spring Nonpartisan Primary and Special Primary for Partisan Office

Judge Timothy L. Vocke, Chairperson of the Government Accountability Board, will certify canvass statements at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in the Wingra Room of the State Bar of Wisconsin, 5302 Eastpark Blvd., Madison, WI 53718.

The canvass statements that will be signed are the official results of Spring Nonpartisan Primary and Special Primary for Partisan Office held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 for the offices of Justice of the Supreme Court; Circuit Court Judge in Dodge County (Branch 3), Manitowoc County (Branch 1) and Milwaukee County (Branch 45); and Representative to the Assembly, District 98.

This meeting was originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, but was cancelled and changed due to weather.
