As you know, new legislation requires the endorsement section of a ballot to include an area for identifying and recording remade ballots.  The wording of the legislation is quite simple in that it requires a place to identify an over voted or damaged ballot and record a serial number.  Discussion among staff and management determined that the terms “over voted” and “damaged” do not adequately cover the reasons for remaking a ballot.

Therefore, the "For Official Use Only" area of the endorsement section has been revised.  The revision should not use any more space (and possibly less) than the previous version.  Revised ballots containing the revision are available on the G.A.B. website:  http://gab.wi.gov/node/2929.  Command Central, Dominion, ES&S and Roto-Graphics have been notified of this change.

If you have questions, please contact the G.A.B. Help Desk at 608-261-2028 or gabhelpdes@wi.gov.

Thank you.
