October 12, 2011 MADISON, WI – The Government Accountability Board will hold a media availability at 12:15 p.m. today with Paddy McGuire of the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP), which was involved in suing the G.A.B. last year to ensure compliance with the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act.
FVAP is the Department of Defense agency charged with ensuring the rights military and overseas voters. Mr. McGuire is in Wisconsin today to meet with key lawmakers and the Governor’s staff about moving Wisconsin’s Partisan Primary Election from September to August to comply with the MOVE Act.
