MADISON, WI – The Government Accountability Board office will be closed on Friday, July 2 for a state-mandated furlough day. In addition, the office will be closed for the July 5 holiday.
All employees of the State of Wisconsin are required to take 16 furlough days during the 2009-11 biennium. The Government Accountability Board’s eight-day mandatory furlough schedule differs somewhat from that of other agencies because of the election schedule. Additional furlough days are listed on the Board’s new web site calendar: http://gab.wi.gov/calendar.
Because the office is closed on July 2 and 5, the deadline for incumbents who are not seeking re-election in November 2010 to file a notice of non-candidacy with the Board is extended to 5 p.m. July 6.
On days when the G.A.B. is closed, there will be no Help Desk support available by telephone; however, customers are urged to use the G.A.B.’s web site: gab.wi.gov, for reports, forms and access to online databases, including the Voter Public Access System, Campaign Finance Information System and the Eye on Lobbying database.
